My history
I’ve been teaching Spanish online since 2018.
In 2017 my girlfriend and I decided to quit our jobs, sell or give away our things and go traveling. So we took 25Kg of luggage each and we went to Southeastern Asia. When we got to Thailand we loved it and we decided to stay for 1 year, which ended being 2. There we met our neighbour Lucas, a very talented polyglot and languages teacher from Brazil. He was the one who suggested us to become Spanish teachers, and I could never thank him enough. Now I have a job that I love and that allows me to keep traveling.
Ok, now that you know how I got here, I’ll tell you why you should consider studying Spanish with me.
To be honest, I always loved to learn, but I never liked to study. I started studying English in school when I was 5 years old; but for 10 years I didn’t learn almost anything. But why? Because the methods were ineffective. The same happened to other subjects. So I grew up thinking that I didn’t like languages, maths or literature… Now I love them!
When I was 15 years old, I went to the US for 3 months and the magic finally happened. I improved more during those few months than in the previous 10 years. The key was to use the language in real conversations with native speakers.
From then untill now I have used English in my job, traveling and most reciently teaching Spanish to English speakers.
Believe me, I know the barriers, fears and frustration when learning a new language, as well as the satisfaction when you can hold a conversation with native speakers. I know the solutions to these barriers through effective and updated methods based in conversation. Of course, we will learn grammar and vocabulary if you need to, but in an easy and natural way.
Furthermore, learning Spanish with me will also include learning about Spain and its culture, and speaking about subjects that you like or have an interest in. The objective is not only to learn fast, but also to have fun while you learn.
I am specialized in teaching adults and teenagers. The methods and materials I use are mostly focued on beginners, but I can also teach intermediate and advanced students.
I was incredibly lucky to have my education in teaching from the best linguists and language teachers I’ve ever known: Lucas, Sebastien and Mila. Thanks guys!
